Next Destination: Port Loyola, Belize. July 15th-20th I will be embarking on an almost week-long journey; in Belize, I will be joining my church, Pathway, on a mission to help change the lives of kids from Children’s Cup. The Children’s Cup carepoints aim to nourish children’s mind, body, and spirit by establishing feeding programs, discipleship programs, and educational programs in their local areas. Pathway Church helps support the Children’s Cup Port Loyola carepoint in Belize City, Belize. Pathway’s team journeyed to the carepoint last year to meet the kids, establish relationships with the local staff, pastors, and volunteers, and assess the needs of the community. I am overly thrilled to be part of the team this year. This team has a vision for reaching Belize Citv, Belize with the unconditional, life-changing love of Christ that is at work in us and in the already-familiarized family at the Port Loyola carepoint.
My dream and motivation in life is to support and advocate for kids in need. These kids at the care point of Children’s Cup in Belize City need a voice and a helping hand. I am hoping to help bridge the gap between these hurting kids and the hope that is brought to them by the One who restores. That short week in July when our team will be there is going to be incredibly important and ultimately a crucial moment in time for the lives of the children and families that reside there. While I am over-the-moon excited for what is to come, I will admittedly say that I am a bit nervous all at the same time. Please join me in prayer as I prepare for the time when I reach my destination and hit the gourd running to help fill the children’s lives with a hope that I myself cannot do alone.
If you feel led to contribute to the cost it will take to get me there, I would love to have a conversation with you. Let’s talk about the dreams I have for these kids and how God will use our team at Pathway to help reach Belize City. If you want to blindly donate without conversations and feel your heart wanting to give now, you can head on over to to this website: https://friend.childrenscup.org/get-involved/explore-projects/project-detail/MT-75040.
This website will allow you to choose any amount you feel necessary, and when you press give, it will bring you to a page where you can write my name, Mallory Jackson, to directly put this towards the funds I will need to get to Port Loyola. Although I am aiming to fundraise the full amount, $2,500, by the time I leave for the trip, I am more concerned about the prayers surrounding it. If you would join me in prayer, that would be all I need to sustain me for this trip. I am asking that you prayerfully consider helping me on this journey that I am so looking forward to.
